Company exhibiting pilot plant for cream manufacture at stand AA21

Airplan will feature at In-Cosmetics, the international cosmetics trade fair that brings together industry suppliers, production and marketing specialists, for the first time. This year’s fair will be held at Fira de Barcelona, Spain from 28 to 30 March.

From conception and design to execution, Airplan provides complete manufacturing plants for cosmetic products, including cleanrooms, manufacturing and cleaning equipment and necessary utilites, as well as their integration for smooth and correct operation. It offers an end-to-end project with no intermediaries.

The installations executed for cosmetics production, both infrastructure and process, are GMP quality and comply with regulation 1223/2009/EC on good manufacturing practices for cosmetic products.

“We integrate solutions that cover all the phases and needs of a cosmetics industry project, seeking customisation of each one and delivering a global solution,” said Airplan Area Manager for Spain, Núria Sellarés. The company helps develop versatile process lines that make creams, gels, liquids and more.

Airplan has already developed turnkey projects for production plants for leading players on the Spanish cosmetics market, such as Reckitt Benckiser, Provital, Biogründl and Neftis Laboratorios. Each production plant has particular challenges requiring custom-built installations in line with each client’s needs. Airplan has also developed reactors to work with higher-density products such as hyaluronic acid.

A pilot reactor for cream manufacture will be shown at stand AA21 leveraging two phases (mixing and emulsion) to allow new formulas to be tested, parameters recorded and even recipes to be pre-defined, enabling easier scaling in the industrial production phase.
